This picture book tells the true story of Osman Kalin, a Turkish guest worker who planted a vegetable garden on wasteland by the Berlin Wall in the 1980s, known as the Baumhaus an der Mauer and seen as a symbol of gentle resistance. It brings children closer to a piece of Berlin's history and speaks of humanity and tolerance. The reading is presented with Michael Feindler, a cabaret artist and poetry slam performer, who leads a conversation about the book.
