Potsdamer Platz marks the start of the festive season with a public ceremony switching on its Christmas lights. The event takes place outdoors regardless of weather, so warm, weatherproof clothing is recommended. Registered guests who book through the Potsdamer Platz app can also join an exclusive get-together afterwards, with snacks, drinks and music, while the lights switch-on itself remains open to everyone.

Details can change — check the event’s website before you go.
