Singer Ludwig Löwenhaupt buys a live goose meant for the Christmas table, but while she waits in the cellar, children Peter and Ellie look after her and name her Auguste. Peter insists she sleep in the children's room and secretly takes her to bed. When the father wants to send Auguste away before Christmas, uproar follows. Performed by Die Artisanen, freelance puppeteers trained at the Ernst Busch academy, blending classical puppet theatre with object, material and performance art.
