Insights into research collection: mammal skulls, deer and horned animals
Museum für Naturkunde Berlin · Mitte
This guided tour explores the research collection of mammal skulls, deer and horned animals, shown in two halls. It highlights how many objects reached Berlin during the German colonial period, and the new presentation was developed together with co-curators from several African countries. Alongside the scientific view, the tour adds stories about people, places and history, including questions of origin, colonial acquisition and responsibility. Because it also addresses violence against people and animals, a minimum age of 12 is recommended. The tour is held in German. Both halls are on the second floor and accessible by elevator. Registration is required.
