While adults enjoy the first concert half alone, music educator Henrike Wassermeyer leads children through an interactive workshop in the upper foyer, introducing the themes, stories and sounds of the second half's pieces. A surprise guest musician from the orchestra brings along their own instrument. Through playing, crafting and hands-on activities, children prepare for the second half, which they then experience live in the hall. Recommended for ages 8 to 12, lasting 120 minutes including the concert.
