In this figure theatre based on the Brothers Grimm, a miller boasts that his daughter can spin straw into gold, and the king threatens her with death if he lied. In her greatest need, she gets help, but must give up her own child in return. From this she finds the strength to name the problem and solve it. One performer narrates, sings and plays with figures on an open stage, drawing children directly into the story.
