Based on Inge Deutschkron's autobiographical book 'Ich trug den gelben Stern', this play tells her story in 33 scenes, songs and musical interludes. It follows Inge as a Jewish girl growing up in Berlin from 1933, facing escalating persecution under the Nazis and eventual deportation threats. The piece addresses war and antisemitism, and includes an audio introduction for visually impaired visitors. A related planning-game workshop is also offered, and the production is recommended for ages 15 and up.
