In this family workshop, children create their own moving toy figures inspired by artist Annemirl Bauer, who trained in toy design before turning to fine art. Her 1981 painting “Elli auf dem Pferd” provides inspiration, and the figures may become fantastical creatures with colourful wings or shimmering winter fur. Using scissors, pens, cardboard and movable joints, children bring their figures to life. No prior experience is needed. The workshop suits children from age 5 together with an accompanying adult, and other family members are welcome to join and help if space allows. Finished toys can be taken home.
