In this puppet theatre piece by the Kammerpuppenspiele, based on Ingo Siegner, the penguins Greta and Pelle visit little dragon Kokosnuss and his friend Matilda in midwinter, searching for the South Pole. Their adventurous journey leads the friends to the northern forests and a Christmas village. Kokosnuss, who has never heard of Christmas, is delighted, and after meeting Santa Claus in person he decides that Dragon Island should celebrate Christmas too this year. The performance combines acting, large-scale puppets and singing, and is the first time a German theatre has staged this new Christmas tale. It lasts about 80 minutes including an interval and suits children aged 4 and up.
