This operetta invites children to sing along as it retells Johann Strauss's 1874 "Die Fledermaus" with a new text by Florian Stanek, based on the libretto by Carl Haffner and Richard Genée. The story moves to a private boarding school, Schloss Salamander, where students navigate friendship, class and a mysterious costume party. It is performed in German by the Jugendchor der Staatsoper Unter den Linden and the Staatskapelle Berlin. Families can book a preparatory workshop led by conductor Sebastian Ludwig to learn the sing-along parts beforehand.
