Susa Ahrens retells the familiar fairy tale of Mother Holle, drawing on an ancient view of her as an earth mother who once brought the fruits of the earth and governed the changing seasons. Though largely forgotten today, her story lives on, including the tale of Goldmarie and Pechmarie. The performance suits audiences from age 4, with a separate night-time version offered for adults only.
