This interactive guided tour combines hands-on formats with small research tasks and looks at how nature shaped human life, and how ideas about nature changed, over roughly 800 years. Children journey into fairy-tale forests inhabited by dwarves, giants and animals, and see mountains where people once dug for silver. They also discover naturalist Maria Sibylla Merian's fascination with butterflies, learn how microscopes revealed new worlds, and find out why people used to eat moss.
