This production of Engelbert Humperdinck's opera “Hänsel and Gretel” is brought to the stage by the Märchenhafte Operncompagnie: four singers, a pianist and a narrator sing, act and tell the well-known fairy tale together, including its famous songs. Stage designer Tina Zimmermann created a video concept in which hand-drawn and computer-animated scenes are projected onto two screens, supporting the music and story in a modern way.
