On this family tour through the permanent exhibition, children and adults travel through the centuries and discover unusual objects and surprising events from Berlin's past. Along the way they can touch, smell and try things out: feeling what medieval fabric was like, imagining how Berlin smelled around 1740, finding out which new inventions made city life easier, and learning how children lived around 1900. The tour also introduces a plague doctor, the oldest remains of a Berlin house pig, and other witnesses to the city's history. It is recommended for adults with children from age 5, and the group meets in the foyer.
