Kamishibai is a traditional form of Japanese paper theatre, in which illustrated panels of a story are shown one by one while it is read aloud. The programme combines picture book classics with newer literature that appeals to both younger and older children. Sessions are aimed at children and teenagers and introduce them to storytelling through this visual, panel-based format.
