This musical revue follows Natalie, who arrives in West Berlin and sets off in search of Johnny, a Berlin rock musician. She boards U-Bahn line 1 toward Schlesisches Tor and is swept into the city, meeting a panorama of lost, searching, quarrelsome yet warm-hearted people as they lived in 1986. The piece reflects how people felt and thought at the time, inviting laughter, tears and reflection on others and oneself. Content notes: suicide, alcohol use and racism. An audio introduction is available for visually impaired visitors. Recommended for ages 16 and up.
