This children's opera in two acts is based on Astrid Lindgren's stories, with a libretto by Susanne Lütje and Anne X. Weber, commissioned by Komische Oper Berlin. Pippi refuses school or a children's home and turns a neighbours' coffee gathering upside down, fuelled by boundless imagination and her wish for fun with Annika and Tommy. Performed in German, it runs about two hours including an interval. Other dates in the series may present different episodes from Pippi's adventures.
