Five curious insects, Ixi, Fleisel, Brumms, Sisseli and Otto von Ottowo, watch a tender shoot push through the earth and grow into a blooming plant across the seasons, until winter comes and a new sprout appears in spring. The musical is based on Carson Ellis's picture book and its invented insect language, expanded by playwright Martin Heckmanns into a new language understandable to everyone. Directed by Alexander Riemenschneider, the family musical combines songs with circus elements. It runs 55 minutes.
