Children start with safety instruction, then dismantle unplugged appliances using real tools. A different appliance is used each session. They practise screwdriver use in the screwdriver licence activity and discuss how appliances work and why repairing matters. Wear closed shoes and clothes that can get dirty. Interesting components may go home with the children.
